Chris Rock came out with this documentary on Black women's hair for the Sundance Festival. It took me a while but I finally watched it. Its kind of amazing. It made me realize that I don't know crap about Black women's hair and what they have to go through. I 've learned that hair relaxer is sodium hydroxide, the stuff my science teacher used to warn us about. It burns right through your skin and causes permanent damage to your lungs.
Ice T is one of the best commenters. I mean he is Ice T, he's a cool dude . Although he is pretty funny, I regret that his lovely wife ,Coco, isnt in it. The money in this industry is insane. Forget relaxers, the weave industry alone is a multiple billion dollar business. Peppa from salt and Peppa has spent 150,000 dollars on her life on weaves alone. It looks so painful. It follows this hair show in Atlanta , which is the best part. And surprisingly Koreans dominate the profit margin of the products.
